Drone Light Shows Near Salt Lake City

The Wasatch goes purple, the valley lights come up, and Salt Lake gathers under a sky its own fire seasons keep taking away. There is a better way to fill it.

Immersion Drone Theatre is a national drone light show company. We stage the celebration Utah's July actually allows, silent, ember-free, and built for the crowd.

The drone light show Utah's fire seasons have been asking for

Salt Lake City is not a market that needs convincing, it is the market that convinced everyone else. When wildfire seasons pushed Utah’s governor to declare statewide fireworks emergencies, this valley answered first: Liberty Park’s Fourth of July went to drones, Park City followed, and Pioneer Day, the July 24 holiday that means more here than the Fourth does anywhere else, faces the same math every summer. The question in Salt Lake is not whether to fly a drone show. It is who flies it well.

Our answer is a theatre company’s answer. We design from the crowd’s vantage point on the Sugar House hillside or the Liberty Park lawn, choreograph to the music the valley will actually hear, and put the Wasatch where it belongs, behind the show, holding the horizon.

The calendar here runs deeper than July. Silicon Slopes fills convention and summit season with brands that want a finale worth the flight in. The Delta Center hosts two major-league tenants. The State Fair gathers Utah every September, Sundance brings the world every January, and 2034 is already on the city’s mind, an Olympics returning to a valley that knows how to stage a global moment.

A city between mountains and a mirror-flat lake was built for looking up. We give it something new to see.

The Invisible Shield

The safety answer, before you ask.

Salt Lake City International's Class B airspace covers much of the valley, so most sites call for specific FAA authorization, disciplined coordination our crew handles end to end, with two independent geofence layers and aviation liability insurance on every flight. The deeper point is the one Utah already knows: the governor has declared wildfire emergencies and statewide fireworks restrictions, and cities from Salt Lake to Park City have moved their celebrations to drones. Nothing we fly burns, and July 24 does not have to be negotiable.

Salt Lake City questions

Asked and answered.

Why are Utah cities replacing fireworks with drone shows?

Because the mountains keep burning. Utah has repeatedly entered July under statewide fire emergencies and fireworks restrictions, and Salt Lake City, Park City, and others now fly drone shows instead, Salt Lake is on its third consecutive year. A drone show carries no ignition source, so the celebration stops depending on the fire forecast.

Can you fly both July 4 and Pioneer Day?

Yes, and Utah is the one state where the second date is the bigger one. July 24 crowds are enormous and the same fire restrictions apply, so book the pair early, those two weeks are the tightest inventory of our summer.

How much does a drone light show cost in Salt Lake City?

Custom and all-inclusive, sized by drone count and choreography, with travel built into the quote. Tell us the occasion and budget and we will scope it.

Does Class B airspace make a downtown show impossible?

No, it makes it paperwork, ours, not yours. Most valley sites need specific FAA authorization, which we secure before committing to a date. It adds lead time, not risk, and it is why Salt Lake dates reward booking sixty to ninety days out.
