Immersion Drone Theatre is based in Windsor, one town over. Loveland is home-field for our crew, and its lake, its events campus, and its valentine of a brand were made for choreographed light.
A drone light show signed, sealed, and delivered over Loveland
Loveland is the only city in America with a brand built for a drone light show. Every February, hundreds of thousands of valentines route through this town to be hand-stamped with the Sweetheart City’s cachet. That identity, hearts, light, devotion, a little showmanship, is exactly what choreographed drones draw best. A heart over Lake Loveland is not a gimmick here. It is the city being itself, at four hundred feet.
The practical assets are just as strong. Lake Loveland puts open water and public sightlines in the middle of town. The Ranch Events Complex hosts the Larimer County Fair, arena seasons, and some of the biggest indoor-outdoor crowds in the region, with infrastructure already built for event nights. Chapungu Sculpture Park has taught Loveland audiences to come out on cold nights for light. The stages exist; they are waiting for a sky to match.
We are based in Windsor, one town east. The airport question, and in Loveland it is always the first question, is one we handle as a matter of course: Northern Colorado Regional is our home field, and coordinating shows around its traffic is part of nearly every local production we plan.

Northern Colorado Regional Airport sits inside Loveland's own city limits, which makes airspace coordination the first question for any show here, and one we answer routinely. We secure the FAA authorization, coordinate directly with the airport, and fly inside two independent geofencing layers with aviation liability insurance in place. It is our home airport, we plan around its traffic all the time.

The airport is right there. Can a drone show fly in Loveland at all?
Yes. Northern Colorado Regional sits inside the city, so nearly every Loveland site calls for FAA authorization and direct airport coordination. That is routine work for us, this is our home airport, and we build the approval timeline into every Loveland proposal so show night is already cleared.
How much does a drone light show cost in Loveland?

What would a Sweetheart City show look like?

February is a quiet month for outdoor spectacle everywhere else in the country. In Loveland it is the season, and a drone light show is how the Sweetheart City wins it.
How far in advance should we book a Loveland show?
Plan on a few weeks at minimum and about two months for comfort. Because the airport makes most of Loveland controlled airspace, 90 days is the honest number for many sites here. The Fourth of July, New Year's Eve, and Sweetheart season are the book-early dates: three to six months.
