A drone light show over Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay is one of the best-gathered waterfronts in America. The Riverwalk strings downtown’s crowds along the Hillsborough from Armature Works to Curtis Hixon’s lawn. St. Pete faces the open bay from Vinoy Park and the pier. And every winter, Gasparilla proves the region will line the water by the hundreds of thousands for a spectacle, provided the spectacle shows up by boat. Ours shows up overhead, and the water works even harder for it.
Water is the medium’s favorite collaborator, every formation doubles in the reflection, and Tampa has it on three sides of every venue. A show over the Hillsborough plays to the whole Riverwalk at once. A show off the St. Pete seawall belongs to the entire waterfront. No tickets, no sightline charts, just geography doing the production design.
The bay’s sky is layered, Tampa International’s Class B, the waterfront fields, MacDill holding the south peninsula, and that layering is precisely why the region’s events deserve a crew that treats airspace as the first act of the production. Every show arrives with FAA authorization and the coordination the map calls for, two independent geofencing layers, our own power, and a complete insurance file. Florida’s afternoon storms get respect too: show windows planned around the evening clear-out, and honest weather calls on site.

Tampa Bay's sky is layered: Tampa International's Class B, St. Pete-Clearwater and Albert Whitted by the water, and MacDill Air Force Base holding the south end of the peninsula. Layered is not difficult, it is simply professional work, and it is ours: FAA authorization, military-adjacent coordination where the map calls for it, two independent geofencing layers, and aviation liability insurance, all completed before show night.

Can a drone show fly near MacDill's airspace?
Yes, with the coordination the map demands. MacDill anchors the south end of Tampa's peninsula, and Tampa International's Class B covers much of the metro, so every bay-area show starts with the airspace plan: authorization, deconfliction where needed, and honest lead time. It is disciplined work we do across the country.
Could a drone show join Gasparilla?
A city that stages a pirate invasion by boat every winter is not going to flinch at choreographed aircraft. Gasparilla's crowds line the water for hours, the exact audience geometry this medium loves, and a show over the bay could tell the legend overhead with nothing falling into the water the flotilla sails on. We would coordinate with the organizers end to end.
